My Fitness Pal

Screen Shot 2013-09-25 at 3.45.18 PMWe are trying to take actions to be more healthy. One of the things that helps me stay on track is My Fitness Pal.

My Fitness Pal helps me reach my goals with my diet AND my exercise.

It allows me to keep up with what foods I eat and how many carbs, protein, fat, etc. Most of the foods I’ve eaten have already been in their database which makes it really easy for those of us with short attention spans and busy lives.

It also has most physical activities already stored in the database. When I enter my activity, it tells me how many calories I’ve burned. For instance, when I go walking at night, I enter how many minutes I walked and at what pace. It calculates how many calories I burned and automatically adds those calories to my daily caloric limits to maintain my goal.

They also have an App for my iPhone which lets me scan bar codes to enter my foods as well. Very cool! Of course, the app allows me to enter the foods I eat and the physical activities I do too.

It helps me set my goals and then stick to them. It also helps me monitor my goals by entering my weight to keep a record of my progress.

Fitness is always easier with a support group. My Fitness Pal allows us to stay connected as friends so that we can support each other too. It’s nice when a friend sends a small word of encouragement, so if you join, add me as a friend!

It’s another great tool to add to our prosperity tool belt to help us gain vibrant health.
