Is Prosperity a Coincidence or Consciousness

file5001245785573A day or two after we wrote the last post about finishing the Forty Day Prosperity Plan, we received a rather large unexpected check in the mail. Was it directly related to our prosperity consciousness? Of course it was. Could many people mistake it for a coincidence? Yes, of course.

At one point in my adult life, I was completely debt free. I had paid off all loans, all vehicles, and even the house. Completely debt free. How did I do it? I started by taking a second job. I then started paying off the small loans first. Then money started coming in faster. We got raises, unexpected checks in the mail, and even an unexpected early inheritance.

When I told my story about how we had become debt free, many people would say, “Well, yeah, but I don’t have anyone to leave me an inheritance.” Or, “Well, I don’t know how to do that kind of work”. There was always some kind of excuse… Some reason why THEY couldn’t do it themselves.

Hogwash. If I can do it you can do it. If I can do it once, I can do it again. It wasn’t just a bunch of luck, or a coincidence that I got everything paid off. It was my prosperity consciousness, my intention to get what I wanted, my attention to detail, and a LOT of God.

When I made a plan and started working the plan, the pieces fell into place. Circumstances started lining up so that my dream could come true. If it hadn’t been the inheritance, I KNOW it would have been something else. God, as our Source, would have found another way.

When I look back at that time, I realize that God was in the details. Once I set my intention and then exhausted all MY avenues, God showed up bigger and made things happen that I could have never seen coming. Even though it seemed impossible with two school loans, two car loans, and a huge house loan, it happened in less than 4 years. My plan alone would have never worked in that short amount of time. But, without my plan, my determination, my intention and my attention, it would never have happened at all.

I heard a story once about a man passing by a woman pulling weeds in a beautiful garden. The man said to the woman, “Wow! What a beautiful garden that God has created!” The woman responded, “You should have seen it last year before I started helping God with it!”

We have to set our goals and intentions, give them our attention, determine where we are now and make a plan to get to where we want to be. Then we must start working our plan, even if it seems impossible. In fact, the more impossible our plan seems, then the more God has room to work and show Himself to us so that we will see that it’s really not a coincidence at all. It never was. But, when we keep our sites low, our goals small, and our expectations even smaller, we will just see coincidences instead of the HUGE God behind them.

  1. […] As I look back over the last several months since we started the Forty Day Prosperity Play by John Randolph Price, it’s easy to see that we have manifested more prosperity in our lives. You can read about some of those manifestations here. I also realize that it’s not just a coincidence. It’s a direct result of a change in my consciousness. You can read more about that here. […]
