We take so many everyday items for granted. Just a little over 100 years ago there was no electricity, running water or even washing machines. Twenty five years ago we didn’t have the internet and now we cannot imagine living without it. There are so many things to be thankful for but we seem to focus on the lack.
We need to begin practicing gratitude. One way is to work with a gratitude list. Each morning or evening writing 5-10 items that we are thankful or grateful for. Working with gratitude helps us stay focused on our prosperity.
We also look at how we have been doing with all the exercises in Chapter 8. The things that still need improvement and the things have we been able to incorporate into our day.
All of these practices help us to allow the God in us to shine through to and for others. We cannot experience the love of others until we can first learn to love ourselves.
