Feeling Prosperous: It’s the Little Things

4spirituallawsofprosperityWhat makes you feel prosperous? Edwene always says that we won’t be prosperous until we FEEL prosperous. She tells the story in her book, The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity: A Simple Guide to Unlimited Abundance, about buying olives stuffed with almonds at the grocery store which blew her food budget at the time. The olives made her feel very prosperous because, in her mind, that’s what prosperous people ate. The feeling of being prosperous, brings about more prosperity.

We don’t have to go out and buy something on credit to feel more prosperous. We can buy something small that will make us feel that way. We just have to FEEL that way before we can actually BE that way.

Today, someone is coming to install a new dishwasher. Ours has been broken for quite a while. A very long while. We (well, actually Lizabeth mostly) have been washing dishes for a very long time because of this stinking dishwasher. We’ve tried to fix it but nothing we’ve tried has worked. Long story short – we are getting a new one today and we (well, actually Lizabeth) won’t have to wash dishes by hand anymore.

This one small thing will make us both feel more prosperous. When we feel more prosperous we will be more prosperous.

Last week we paid someone to mow the yard. We’ve been doing it ourselves (well, actually Lizabeth has been doing it). It made us both feel more prosperous. It didn’t cost that much either.

Edwene also says that if we are doing something we don’t want to do we are stealing someone else’s job. The young man who mowed the yard was very grateful to have the work. He actually seemed to be enjoying himself! Can you believe someone actually LIKES mowing lawns? He was happy. We were happy. Win/win.

What makes you feel prosperous? It can be just a little thing, but even little things can bring more prosperity. So, think of something today that can make you feel more prosperous. Then go do that. Just ask Lizabeth.
